Dr. Henry Laska

Dr. Laska received his early education in a 1 room schoolhouse with 1 teacher, 8 grades, and 16 students. He went on to graduate from Cobden DHS, Queen’s University (Kingston), and the University of Toronto with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1971.

 

His continuing education has been carried out at various institutions including McGill University (Montreal), Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts), the Las Vegas Institute and the University of Toronto.

 

Trish and Henry live happily on a farm near Cobden. In his spare time, Dr. Laska enjoys gardening, repairing things around the farm, and self-guided trips to Europe.

 

He also spends time biking and skiing with his grandchildren, and being a spectator at their sporting activities

 

Dr. Laska believes in comprehensive dental care that helps patients maintain their oral health, smile, and addresses their chief concerns. 

 

He prides himself on providing the best, comprehensive, compassionate, and holistic dental care to each of his patients. In order to do this, he has accumulated numerous hours of continuing education courses involving his participation in hands on, live patient treatment.

Dr. Edward Alexander

Originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Dr. Alexander has called the Ottawa Valley his home since 2001. He graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in chemistry and from Dalhousie University in 2000 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

 

In 2006 Dr. Alexander started working at Dr. Laska’s office and loves being a part of the great dental team there and the strong relationships he continues to build with his patients. Dr. Alexander has a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

 

Outside of the dental office, Ed enjoys running, photography, hiking, and traveling with his wife.

Dr. Greg Pigeon

Dr. Pigeon is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto’s Doctor of Dental Surgery program. Dr. Pigeon also has a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, and a Masters of Science in Human Biology from Chatham University.

 

Dr. Pigeon believes in life long learning and is committed to expanding his dental knowledge through continuing education courses which most recently includes the placement of dental implant fixtures.

 

Greg was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley. He is excited to finally be back home providing dental care to the people of the Valley. Dr. Pigeon enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in providing treatment to geriatric patients as well as patients with special needs.

 

Outside of the office you can find Greg cycling and fishing. He also enjoys hunting, golfing, and playing hockey with friends and family.

 

Greg is a competitive long distance runner. He enjoys exploring the limits of human performance and racing on roads & trails over distances of 50+ km. If you see him out running, don’t forget to wave!
